What are some of the best TV/ Movies you guys are watching or have watched on there?

Currently I'm mourning the fact that I've binge watched all my favourite shows to the end. Last one being Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Would recommend, even just the theme song. SO GOOD.

If you haven't watched orange is the new black what is wrong with you haha

I have american netflix so some of my suggestions might not be available. But they have alot of good documentaries on there

nightmare factory
i know that voice

Indie game the movie was good but kinda depressing. Don't expect something feel good out of that.

I'm not sure whether these are on Canadian Netflix or American or if I even saw them on Netflix or just online

Blue Mountain State
Skins (UK)
Misfits (UK)
The Inbetweeners (UK)
Bad Education (UK)
My Mad Fat Diary (UK)
Shameless (I prefer the American version but the UK one isn't bad either)

Fairytale and Attack on Titan if you like Anime. Fringe is honestly one of the greatest not very talked about shows on there, I highly recommend it. Oh man, I don't even know what else, there's so much. Firefly if that's still on there, once upon a time....

I highly recommend Broadchurch to anyone who enjoys murder mysteries like Twin Peaks.. or anyone in general, it's just a really great show! It's not as quirky as Twin Peaks but very emotional and gripping. It's only 8 episodes, and every episodes' end makes it hard not to watch another, so be prepared for a marathon! Also, David Tennant is amazing in it!

if you like Anime i reccomend Jellyfish Princess, it's super cute, and it's only one season, although there's no second season ( THERE DEF SHOULD BE) i still think it's good both subbed and dubbed are available. I think it's pretty funny. (I also second Attack on Titan although the animation isn't the best but it's still action packed, angsty, and entertaining) -Mikayla

The Killing on Netflix is SOO good. There's four seasons and the first case is two seasons long! If you like murder shows / mystery shows definitely watch it. I also love Weeds and am so sad I finished it :(. Californiacation is a good funny one too but last time i checked there's only 4 seasons on netflix.

@Tori OHSHC is my go to anime when i'm sad bc it's so funny and ditsy, princess jellyfish is a lot like it in my opinion. My girlfriend refuses to re watch it with me they keep saying "I'm not 14 anymore" so i watch it by myself.

Haha yes! OHSHC never fails to entertain me. I've rewatched that anime so much that I should know every line by now. Also when I'm sad I watch My Little Monster as well. It's such a back and forth anime that it's funny to me.

Definitely second the recommendations for Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Broadchurch, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and The 100 (what was that season finale even can we talk about how much of a BAMF Clarke is).

Also recommend:
Archer
The IT Crowd
The Fall
Brooklyn 99 (which, as someone who spent nine months interning at the local RCMP detachment, I can attest is the most accurate cop show on TV lol)
The Mindy Project

Going on about Skins since I started watching it again. When Cassie is in Scotland and sends the video of her dancing to Sid I started freaking out. What she did was called the Highland Fling, and I used to do that when I was 4-5 years old, and I too, am Cassie. Haha

@WEM, Octavia is pretty awesome too. She's my second favourite after Clarke...when Indra was like "Octavia of the Tree People" and then the next scene she's like "nevermind"....all the feels.

Some more recommendations (because Netflix is my only hobby):
The Bridge
Boondocks

Edited to add:
Trailer Park Boys (the show and the movies...the bottle fight in Don't Legalize It...I can't...)
Step Brothers (because it is the best movie of all time and if you haven't seen it, just why)

I remember when i use to use american netflix on my ps3 you would have to fudge around with the settings and trick your network into thinking you are actually in the states. Issues witt that is netflix started to track the isps people were using so youd have to change it all the time

Shayla, Bates Motel was actually filmed in my hometown of Aldergrove, so yes, in BC. :) The big house was set up by our local nature park, as well as the strip of the hotel!

If you want a breath of fresh air and something different shomi is great. I have shomi annnnnnd netflix so all the TV belongs to me mwuahahaha.
I really do love Shomi though, it has Lost Girl, Radio Free Roscoe, Dark Oracle, iZombie(A day after it airs on live TV too!!) and a lot of other stuff that I am blanking on ATM. BUt if you want to watch a bunch of TV shows from your childhood (Assuming you're a 90's baby) then SHomi is great ahhh they have everything for that MOna the vampire, TEEN TITANS, Little LuLu, Sonic & the list goes on man

Sense 8, I am seriously surprised no one else suggested it. It's so good! It's a NetFlix original too, and I think it is on both American and Canadian versions. Everything else I like, someone else suggested.

If you like silent films, Daughter of Dawn is really good. It's filmed in the 1920's (original) and its just beautiful to watch (and is actually a bit humourous)

There might be a couple of repeats but this is my list:
TV:
Firefly (This is the most amazing show ever created and no one can tell me different)
How I met your mother
Archer
Community
Brooklyn 99
Family Guy (I find this one is a good doing chores show)
Hannibal
Bates motel
Seven Deadly Sins
Hell on Wheels
Stranger Things (I just started this one but it's looking promising)
The 100
Dare Devil
Jessica Jones
Shadow Hunters (but only if you can see it as a completely different thing from the books)
BOJACK HORSEMAN (This one is super funny if you have a twisted sense of humor)
Futureama
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
Avatar/Legend of Kora (Not sure if Avatars on netflix but Kora is)

I'm going to leave it there and if you want movies I can post that too :3

If you into being really nerdy about food there is a documentary series called Cooked that is actually the coolest. Its the science of food and how cooking advances are what helped humans evolve physically and mentally and it focuses on the elements - the fire episode alone makes you want to bbq all your food forever.

One of my best pals is in hell on wheels. he was only an extra but still <3 haha

LOVE :

Bates motel

bo-jack horseman

buffy the vampire slayer

the office (i hate this show so much but i can't stop. its not even a good show and steve corrals face bothers me)

bob ross: beauty is everywhere- Seriously if you want to be amazed at paintings watch this. you literally just watch Bob Ross move his hand over the kanvas and bam there is a mountain with trees and a cottage. It is BS. If Bob Ross were to touch my arm, my arm would be a river with a tree line.

^^ I could actually write a very compelling essay on why everyone should watch all 7 seasons of buffy to become a better person.

10/10 will recommend to absolutely everyone I meet. Also Angel the series is equally good if not darker/ more serious.

I loved buffy I like angel I'm having a hard time finishing the 5th season because Angel annoys me and spike is cooler.

I find with angel because its like prime time early 2000's it has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooo many campy "lets talk about our lives while we kick each othes ass's" scenes. like can you just beat up the demon with out telling him he has mangy hair or bad breath? haha

That being said I don't hate angel but Buffy is love.

So unpopular opinion - I hate Xander. So much. He's actually the worst dude in one of those "nice guys" kind of a way. That is what brings Buffy down to Angels level for me because Xander is so awful whereas Angel gives us amazing characters like Fred (the best) and Gunn (also the best).

I was thinking about it and if you haven't watched it already then Death note. It's one of my faves and what got me into Anime/Manga XD I was also in college for fashion so netflix was my BFF when it came to hand sewing. I could give way too many suggestions hahaha

Seconding Stranger Things. Started it last night & only have 2 episodes left. Need more, stat.

Also, Gilmore Girls, because it is my life & the 4 part revival finally has a release date. (Nov. 25)
10/10 would move to Stars Hollow if it was real.

@ Lauren Ashlee spent all morning re watching Gilmore Girls. I didn't really care about a new season coming out but now I'm looking forward to it. I have the next three days off so I'll be binge watching the whole series. My bf is going to hate me. (insert evil laugh)

Has nobody mentioned Trailer Park Boys?

Seriously I have watched 9 seasons in like a month and have no regrets. I don't know why I never gave it a chance before because I have cried laughing more than once this month.

This one isn't on netflix but I'm curious if anyone else is watching the new series on FX called Legion ?? Anyone an X-Men fan? It's nothing to do with X-men but if you know the comics you'll know who Legion is. This show is just all over the place but in a good way and I need someone to fan girl with over it! lol

Edit: Has anyone watched the trailer for the netflix documentary on Jonbenet Ramsey? Looks like it's going to be interesting!!

Found a list of 16 alright horror movies on netflix right now, and I watched one that was actually pretty good. It wasn't really horror but more gore and comedy. Ava's Possessions.... I really liked the way they filmed and the route they went with the whole possession. Highly recommend but it's really just an alright movie.

Edit: Also just started watching Shameless and I love it!

I'm having such hard time too! That's why when I found this list I was like alright I'll give these a try and it was nice because they had previews for them, which I love previews. If you follow creepypasta on facebook they just shared and there might some on there you are into.

I just watched another off the list last night and it was pretty good but again it was just alright lol. The Girl in the Photographs. This one was on my netflix recently added or popular on netflix and I wasn't sure about it until I watched the preview for it so I gave it a try. For sure recommend it! just don't hate me if you don't love.

@ St. Vital
RIVERDALE IS THE BEST. I can't get over it. AND THERE'S STILL ONE MORE EPISODE THIS SEASON. This is probably one of the best shows on netflix. I Hope it doesn't go down hill like the 100 did.. But the 100 is still great, over the endless loop of it though.. (Also Ps.. Hate Clarke & Jaha..)

Also I recommend Dear White People, I binged it this weekend and cannot wait for season 2. (As a white person in no way did I find this offence to white people.)

@ Raee my mom and I were wondering if that one would be good. I'll have to try it out.

I just watched Big Eyes last night. Didn't realize it was a Tim Burton film but it was good I didn't finish it yet as I was falling asleep so I'll be finishing it tonight.

Also Love Riverdale!!!

There is a movie that was on netflix about a year ago called "the revenant" BUT its not the one with Leonardo DiCaprio,

you can find it if you look the the revenant 2009 and is about a dead soldier who comes back to life, but he doesn't really get it at first, and its hilarious!! It starts out kind of "light-hearted" and slowly gets darker and more gory as the movie progresses. I highly recommend watching if you are looking for a unique horror movie.

ALSO started (and almost finished) the Arrangement this weekend, super weird show!!

Brunneh..... this should be my new name like Bruh and bunneh combined. I dig it.

Ajin was pretty fantasic and had a definite horror side to it but was not all about the gore.

Knights of Sidonia was kind of confusing at the start but once you get into it and things are explained and you realize everyone is a clone of someone due to DNA enhancements to allow the human race to survive off photosynthesis and to it makes 100% more sense. ....mostly..... really just a whole lot of awkward relationships and stuff and awkward and battle scenes and awkward and cute and awkward. lol.

Devil is a part-timer was HILARIOUS. You must watch this. Hands down no question.

As much as I was really not wanting to watch once punch man I was bored and watched it anyway, it more or less makes fun of every anime ever. It started as a web comic then became an anime. It's also hilarious.

Am I limited to just stuff on netflix or can I pick other stuff? XD

@Brittany I feel like you also forgot Blue Exorcist.

Anime's that I have enjoyed are:
Dimension W, My Hero Academia, Sage of Tanya the Evil, Tales of Zestiria the X, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak, Tokyo Ghoul, Soul Eater, SERVAMP, Blood-C (Gory), Elfen Lied (Gory, but a classic), Divine Gate, Seven Deadly Sins (Netflix), Attack on Titan (the obvious), Gintama, 91 Days and Inuyasha!

These are only a few of my giant list, but all pretty good!

Also a good anime movie on Netflix is "The Boy and The Beast." I really liked it, but it's kind of personal preference.

I have not forgotten it! I just started it last night so I'm only a couple episodes in! But so far it's been pretty good!

I think it was Fate Zero? (The one with Kirisigu spellinggggggg how??????) Was pretty good? It was made after the other fate stuff (fate stay night I think???? or is it the other way around???) and the other fate stuff was then remade to fit the style of the new stuff. But I really only liked the prequal one and the rest kinda bored me.

The boy and the beast was wonderful, same studio did Wolf children and I adore that one, youj so need to check it out, great story!

If you want to laugh your butt off at the ridculousness absurdity of it Queen's Blade is so crazy pervy it's hilarious. Battle to be queen of the land and the one girl's attack is acid boobs. Not even kidding. I could not take this one seriously even if I tried. But the fan service was hilarious to watch. Never finished it though because it was really quite a dumb anime.

@ Kelsie sorry to jump back to the horror theme so late....but I'm super into things like Black Mirror where it's an anthology series. So there's this movie called Holidays and every holiday is a different story and done by a different director and boy oh boy some of them are so good! I highly recommend this one!!! First horror/gore movie I have really liked in so long. Like I could go! The Easter one, OMG! the Christmas one too! Seth Green, like when was the last time you saw that guy in something? They are all pretty good though, oh and the Halloween one with Harley from Epic Meal Time, that one was good! Like wow! you will be speechless I was!

I was watching VHS 2 last night which is also an anthology, only a few of the movies in that one were okay. But still check them when you need something to watch!

But if you haven't seen it watch Get Out!!!!!

I watched it last night and holy man I see why it won so many awards. Genuinely unique story concept I've heard!

Just watched an anime movie called Blame on the weekend, if you like knights of sidonia you'll like that one. The same studio made it. I was kind of bummed it was just a movie and not a show, because they so could have kept going with it.
