Nars lipsticks are amazing, expenisve but the colours are gorgeous and the texture is awesome. MAC lippies are good too, because of the variety and the pricing is pretty decent.
Urban Decay primer potion, and Smashbox moisturizing face primer also make my life a little better.
Foundations: MakeUp Forever or Mac Studio Fix Fluid, with the fix powder to set xoxo
ALSO THE STILA STAY ALL DAY LINER WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE.

Mac Fluid line (gel, technically, applied with pencil brush)
The Body Shop is your standard liquid, and I actually really liked theirs,
And again, Stila Stay All day, it's a felt-tip pen style liquid and not only does it stay all day (and night) but it is easy as pie to apply!

ANYONE ELSE HAVE MAKE UP QUESTIONS? LOL.
I have a feeling the St. V girls will be all up in this one, because we're all makeup junkies.

I have only wear makeup twice a year. Birthday, then a special occasion sometime in the year.

I dont own any make up except for a powder foundation, and a crappy pencil eye liner.

...I should probly buy some... lol

Sephora has it, and if you have a Shoppers Drug Mart with a big cosmetics section, they should carry it there too

for mascara i like lancome, there's a shoppers drug mart brand one i like it's $3.99 and in blue container i love how think my lashes get from that, and good old cover girl mascara!

for shadows i love mac, L'Oreal, quo, makeup forever!

For blush i use quo, mac or no7

for eye liner i love rimmel pencils!

for lips i used to LOVE mac but i am so allergic to it now! i can barely wear anything on my lips but chap stick!

so if i want a really nice red lip i take the makeup forever pigment and mix it in with my chapstick!

or i use covergirl lipstick! ( its like a pigment stick and put gloss overtop)

Michaela!!! Teach me how to make up?!

Seriously though. I am such a noob at makeup. My bff bought me my first bottle of liquid eyeliner on my 19th birthday, and I have JUST gotten the hang of "flicks". All my eye shadow is cheap and from wal-mart. And I got my most recent bottle of foundation from Shoppers (Revlon!). HELP!!!

OH EYESHADOW: The naked basics palette by urban decay, and then the lorac pro palette are amazing <333333 Also, the costal scents palettes are all really easy to work with and super cheap which is always a plus for beauty on a budget!

KAITLYN I WILL HAPPILY TEACH YOU HOW TO MAKE UP, JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW AND I CAN TEACH YOU! XOXO

I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to make up lolol.
On an average day I just wear eyeliner and ocaaasionally foundation/cover-up (when my complexion is bad).

HOWEVER, I've been meaning to buy a new lipstick for the longest time.
I want a really dark one like a deep plum or even black (sew gawth~*~*).
The only thing holding me back is that I don't know if that type of colour would look good on me considering my hair is pastel pink 98% of the time. Plus I don't know if it'd match my skin tone. :(

LINDSAY CHECK THE RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICIES. Most cosmetics places actually have a really good policy where if you can't try it in store some how, that you can usually exchange or return it within like two weeks or something. so if you pick it up and dont like it, its not a big deal

At sephora and Mac you can try on everything before you buy it, so maybe get one of the people there to help you try stuff on so you can see what you like?

I use maybelline liquid eyeliner. It has been my best friend for the past 6 years. never smudges and my eyeliner is always on key .
I'm not too picky on eyeshadow, but my favorite one I have ever boughten was from Smashbox.
Mascara : I buy whats ever on sale. I use 5000 pounds of it on the daily it doesn't matter lol .

AND MAKEUP FOREVER SPOT CONCEALER. I dont use a whole face foundation, just this 40 bollar tube to hide the bags under my eyes and cover up dem pimples ~
This bottle has lasted me over a year and I still have lots left !

ALSO:
I NEED GOOD RED LIPSTICK . THE JUNK i'M USING CREASES INTO THE LITTLE LINES ABOVE MY LIP AFTER I WEAR IT FOR A WHILE.

Matte/satin lipsticks do it a lot less too! Retro by MAC, and then Shanghi Express or Red Dragon by Nars are both super good for staying put.

Has anyone tried anything from the Kat Von D line? I really want to try it because I love basically every colour of lipstick and eye shadow they offer, but I am not sure if I want to spend a fortune on something I might not like.

IT COVERED HIS WHOLE BODY! Look the ad up - its crazy!! But I wanna try that foundation!
I also hear its better then any of Kat Von D's cover up.

Company that made the foundation is called Dermablend??

Didn't Kat do that with her's too?

I have heard of the Dermablend stuff, isn't it specifically meant for tattoos and scar cover up? They don't have a foundation do they?

SPEAKING OF KAT VON D'S LINE
the liquid eyeliner is amazing. i use it to do my brows and for regular liner as well
hella precise, and stays on so well
her mascara is boss too. lashes for daaaaays, i don't even need falsies

my friend is on this huge organic kick and gave me all of her mac foundations, primers, finishing powders, bronzers, blushes.. needless to say, i look fantastic today.

i found the makeup forever matte + foundation is really nice for all day, soft and doesn't feel heavy too

Makeup may not be my thing but hair definitely is. And I am proud to annouce, for the first time in the history of my last 25 years I've been able to wake up and without anything more than some hair spray, walk out the door with awesome hair. Yes I woke up and it was awesome in its curly glory. Which NEVER happens.

Here are Some cosmetics that are cheaper brands but what i reommend of theirs.
and others that I adore.

I personally love NYX foundations (actually pale enough for me)
their eyeshadows are okay (has a lot of close dupes for mac, and I LOOOOOVE their matte lip creams (tokyo is what I have and it's the most adorable shade ever!) Thier lipsticks are okay. their blushes and matte bronzers are good aswell.
Elf-silver liquid eyeliner is bomb. shimmer penicl eyeliner, Eye primer is good, their studio brush line is good (don't use the ones with natural bristles, they are too rough and break easily) Their loose pigment/eyeshadows are pretty good (not teh matte ones though but the shimmeryones are awesome)
Maybelline - ME face powder is good, black liquid eyeliner is what i have sworn by for many years now.
Hardcandy- their blushes/bronzers are awesome. I'm really pale so i wanted a soft glowy looking one and i got TIKI
Bamboo-their brushes are pretty good, especialyl the eyeshadow ones.
Wet'n'wild- their lipsticks are awesome and the cheapest things ever.
Sally Hansen-nail polish (especially their neon colors!) I love the brush they have for it too.
Costal scents -88 pallette ( a great starter palette especially if you love color)
Ardelle-demi lashes (half lashes, especially good if you're not use to wearing falsies)

Some other stuff i highly recommend.

NARS- blush and lipsticks
Makeup forever-aqua liners (i have the aqua colored one and it's amazeballs) HD foundation
MAC-full coverage foundation, eyeshadows (not so much the matte ones), lipsticks
Sephora-black eyeliner, false eyelashes (they have this set that are tripple eyelashes they look fake as hell but they are gorgeous)
Urban decay-eye primer potion, 24/7 eyeliner pencils (blackest black eyeliner ever), satin looking eyeshadows
OCC-lip tars are the most amazing invention in the face of ever. (i personally have anime super neon pink)concealers are amazing too.

i have both the naked and naked 2 palettes. i've got to say, i prefer naked rather than naked 2.
naked 2's shadows are really cool shades, so they end up washing me out.
i do swear by urban decay's primer potion though.

i cannot get enough of mac's lipsticks. ruby woo and russian red are really good reds, and are also matte!
i can't live without mac's studio fix powder. i did recently pick up one of their bronzers, and i also really like it.

i've tried dior's mascara, and tbh.. i didn't really like it! it dried out really quick, and i screw my lids on tiiiiight.

buxom has really nice lipsticks and their amplified lash mascara is AMAZING.
the buxom lipstick is called the big and healthy lip stick! it makes your lips tingle when you put it on, and it lasts for so long.. even without a liner!

i've recently been trying out a couple of benefit's products.
i really love the boxed blushes! they smell really good too.. weird.
also, they're "they're real!" mascara is probably the best mascara i've ever used. i love it to bits!
i also recently picked up their boiing concealer.. i'm kind of iffy about it, but i'll give it some more time to work with it.

anastasia has amazing products for brows. i usually use her brow powder duo, and then go over top with a gel liner.

for drug store makeup, i usually use covergirl foundation.
as for mascara, i generally will stick with maybelline's collassal (sp?) mascara (yellow tube).

absolutely LOVE kat von ds make up line. i have 4 of her eyeshadow palletes, such nice colors and really easy to blend. they stay put and dont need much of a primer. however some of her darker colors look much different in the shadow then when theyre actually applied. in one of the palettes, there is this deep sparkly blue, but it goes on practically black, and in one of my other ones there is a deep crimson red, but it goes on verrry purpley. thats my only complaint.

her liquid lipstick is the most amazing lip color ive ever used, and my one makeup item i cannot live without is her liquid lipstick in "jeffree". the color goes on so matte and bright, no lip liner needed and no bleeding. the reds and pinks are all phenomonal.

her foundation is also incredible.. its sold out practically everytime i go to sephora (we dont have one here) it gives really matte, full coverage. her mascara is also great! not clumpy and makes your lashes look long and pretty, not spidery.

i like macs mineral blushs, because they are buildable. easy to apply very sutble, but can just add more for a more dramatic color without it getting cakey. also, mac studio fix powder is a godsend. will never use any powder but that one, also buildable for a light to heavy coverage :)

annabelle pencil eyeliner is my favorite pencil liner, goes on soo black and stays put. however i dont often wear pencil eyeliner, revlon is my favorite liquid liner. goes on matte black and doesnt smudge one bit.

i love makeup, haha

I feel so lame. I'm the queen of drug store makeup. Except my black eyeshadow. I don't even know the brand I buy from my sister's shop (I seriously can't find the name on it anywhere), but it's amazing.

So so far since i just go into this stuff

Mac!! omg love it i have the dark side lip stick or something lol but awesome! and there lip liner is alright too! i havent tried any others but its not too bad.

urban decay Naked cover up omg D: the best and they have this spray that keeps your make up on longer and its been working for me besides when i wear my glasses it comes off on the bridge of my nose.

I wanna get into eye shadows and stuff but have no idea how or anything about them but for right now thats what i use.

Also love revlons eyeliner pens <3 they work awesome!

Ive got like super sensitive skin due to a hormone imbalance since my three minions. So I hardly where anything other wise I get super ouchy cysts in my face. So far the only thing that works to clear my face and that doesnt cause me to have these painful cysts is the Mary Kay makeup. I use the whole line from face care to makeup.

Is there anything out there that wont clog my pores super bad for a liquid concealer?

Yo so I don't have really pronounced pores, but here is a list of a few foundations/concealers that are lightweight and build able coverage! *(I'm also extremely white and pale if you're a darker skin tone I don't know what the ranges are like offhand!)*
- NYX Total Control Drop Foundation
- Covergirl Luminous Cushion Foundation
- Revlon Age Rewind Concealer
- NYX Concealer Jar
I find a good primer also helps to keep things from settling into the pores! Some good drugstore ones I've tried are
- ELF Primers, the pump ones. I think they're for different things but I've tried the Purple and Green bottles
- NXY Photo loving primer
- NYX Pore filling primer
- a regular moisturizer works in a flash!
(These brands are all drug store, I apologize if you were looking for more high-end. Bonus points for being cheap tho!)

No, doesnt have to be expensive. Dont get me wrong I love my mary Kay items and the foundation primer and lash primer are amazing. My sales lady and ex-mentor isnt selling anymore and neither am I! So to find a person who I like to let me be their guinea pig is hard. Thanks for the tips!

If you are looking for something that helps with pores , the microderm abrasion set from Mary Kay is amazing! Obviously its a microderm abrasion buuuuutttt the second item in the kit is a pore minimizer and its phenomenal. I cant use it all the time because of my cysts but when I actually have clearish skin I do and it makes my skin feel baby butt soft and it does actually work with your pores.
