I love hair extensions-when done right. I almost always have extensions in, perks of having a BFF that does them for free <3 I use the micro link method, I wish more women would too! And no fake hair, seriously, I couldn't imagine cheaping out and buying that plastic crap. Gross. It must must MUST be 100% human hair (Remy) My BFF and I are constantly making remarks on the hair we see out in public, there have been some real doozeys!

Mismatching color drives me insane, I always make sure to take the time to color match and dye it to the perfect shade. It can be tedious but I don't mess around when it comes to hair! ;)

Oh Shane, you makes me giggles.

I'm thinking cause my hair came out darker than I wanted...could I use Manic Panic red to add more of a reddish tone to it? It has some but I wan't it to be a little more vibrant. Ugggh

I bought some Vampire Red from the kiosk, we searched up some results on pinterest and seems like that's gonna show more. I've never used it before so I'm gonna leave it for 2 hours and wash with cold water?

Good to know! It is recommended to wash it out in a kitchen sink, makes sense. I'm so excited. Worse comes to worse it won't show. If you guise follow me on instagram my display pic is recent with the new hair colour.

A couple years back I got a weave because my hair was at this really awkward growing stage from a pixie cut, and I adored it. It was easy to maintain (treat it like you'd treat your hair), it looked great and natrual, and unless I was brushing it or something, I didn't even notice it wasn't my hair. It stayed in about two months (it still looked fine when I took it out, but my hair was growing and it was pulling and I'm kind of a giant wimp) I would definitely recommend getting it, just make sure that you go to a shop specifically for black hair, because I've seen a lot of weaves in regular salons go bad D:
Theres not too much to know, theyre really great :)

I use the microlink method, I've had the clip in, fusion and microlink extensions, hands down, microlinks are the best. They last approximately 3 months, maybe more or less depending on hair quality and how you take care of it. You can do all the normal things, wash, blow dry, curl, style, dye, etc.. They don't fall out since they are on a woven track. Maintenance (tightening of the weave/microlinks) happens every 2ish weeks. That's about it! YouTube "Microlink weave extensions" and you should see what I mean! It's a European technique that, for some reason, isn't as popular over here! Totally nice to your hair, doesn't dry or damage it like glue or braided weaves. Good luck! Any more questions, I'm the gal to ask ;) Love me some weave! haha

Not at all damaging! IMO, they are the absolute only way to get extensions. As long as you have someone who knows what they are doing, you can't lose with the microlinks! :)

Don't use them! Seriously, you can lose hair. Not to mention embarrass yourself when chunks of weave fall out as the glue wears. Microlink weave all the way! I've had fusions and they were awful!!!

EDIT: Just realized my answer was in the above post haha

A microlink weave can last up to 4 months or even longer, basically until the hair dries out and is unable to stay untangled. You go for maintenance every month to tighten the weave. Microlinks are little metal rings that are placed on the hair, in rows, and they do not cause damage if properly placed. Then, the weave is sewn onto the microlinks, securing it to your head. There is no possibility of chunks of weave falling out and looks the most natural. Regular hair routines are fine (shampoo, blow dry, curl, etc...), just don't let your weave sit wet for days on end, or it can get mildewy. That goes for any hair extensions though.

Sarah, with a microlink weave, what kind of price is about average? I'm trying to grow my hair out and it's driving me nuts, so I've been seriously considering getting extensions.

totally agree with you sarah from central, you know your extensions. i have tried them all too. its all about maintaining them, plus remy ! and i love argan oil everything!!! my co-workers mom is awesome at doing them too i appreciate them so much. i have super thin hair and it gives me volume plus length. i am a fan of hair extension cuz they make a difference on me and i know how to take care of them properly.

I've had both sewn in and bonded (various types of adhesive, not just glue) extensions in the past. They damage your hair, period. The weight can cause damage with nearly any type. The installation can cause breakage with bonded and micro-ring methods, and the take-down (and detangling) causes the most damage of all (and, other than clip-ins, happens with every kind). Seriously, I've been growing out extension damage for almost 3 years, and they just aren't worth it. If you want instant gratification, you may want to look into buying a really nice wig/half-wig/hair piece. Far less damaging, and just as effective against hair boredom:) I decided just experiment with color hairstylezz.com/best-hair-short-ombre/ Its more safely

Well I guess I know that feeling if a girl did not wear the hair extension well, it will be freaky. For me, I have numbers of hair extensions with different color, but most of them are ombre and blonde. I am a short ombre lob hair girl and I need to follow some videos to create the hair styles fits for me such as the referrer->>www.rebeccafashion.com/blog/blend-hair-extensions-for-lob-and-blunt-cut/.What`s more, hair extensions are very helpful for me especially I need to take part in many parties.I mean if you want to look naturally, you need to follow the videos or guides of the hairstylists or kind of www.rebeccafashion.com/blog/The-most-perfect-hair-extensions-blog/ hair blogs patiently.
