I happen to love the all natural perfumes that this one lady makes I adore it! And best of all you only need a little bit seeing as its made of essential oils so a small vial will last a long time! Better yet you never have that cheep perfume smell!

Speaking of cheep perfume.... why is it people seem to think the cheeper the perfume the more they put on the better they will smell? It drives my nose crazy for one and dives on this distinct chemical smell. My nose is going absolutely nuts right now because someone decided to bathe in their perfume again. T_T

What fragrance is your favorite to wear?

What is your least favorite?

I love Secret from The Cat Lab here in S'toon. AMAZING! I always smell of vanilla and sugary goodness when I have that stuff on. <3

Mmm I alternate between Betsey Johnson and Katy Perry's "Purr". (She's coming out with another perfume in December too!)
I also love anything made by CAKE. This is the main reason I avoid going to Sephora.

I don't wear alot of purfume... okay i use body spray every so often, but i use to just put on vanila extract lol. My dad is allergic to anything smelly so one spritz and he becomes a sneezing machine, therefore I never had the chance to smell good :(

@Raereene: the stuff I use is essential/natural oils, so I find its about the only thing that doesn't make me sneeze till my brains come out of my nose. XD

is it any surprise that NINA ricci makes my favourite perfumes?

I got the limited edition love for my bday 2 birthdays ago, the classic love roll-on for last valentines day and I just got l'elixer a couple months ago!!! they all smell like apples, but with different notes depending on the scent. l'elixer is my favourite and has notes of currants.

body spray, eau de toilette, perfume, cologne... it's ALL the same thing. the name is determined by how much water dilutes the scent

this is copied from wikipedia:

Perfume extract, or simply perfume (Extrait): 15-40% (IFRA: typical 20%) aromatic compounds
Esprit de Parfum (ESdP): 15-30% aromatic compounds, a seldom used strength concentration in between EdP and perfume
Eau de Parfum (EdP), Parfum de Toilette (PdT): 10-20% (typical ~15%) aromatic compounds, sometimes listed as "eau de perfume" or "millésime"
Eau de toilette (EdT): 5-15% (typical ~10%) aromatic compounds
Eau de Cologne (EdC): Chypre citrus type perfumes with 3-8% (typical ~5%) aromatic compounds
Perfume mist: 3-8% aromatic compounds (typical non-alcohol solvent)
Splash and After shave: 1-3% aromatic compounds

and here's the whole article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfume

I love like, soft fruity body sprays. I had this one that was peach and white grape, that was fantastic. I think the one I have now is like, pomegranite and orange? Something like that, from the Body Shop. I swear by that place. And their body washes are amazing <3 (:

Also it should be noted that Lindsay smells amazing. AMAZING! I could not only touch her face all day but also smell her all day.....

I make my own perfumes. It is such a unique and wonderful hobby to do. Its expensive tough!!

My favorite perfume would have to be the one I make with Sandalwood, Patchouli, and rose!! It`s such an earthy smell!!

That is a really cool hobby. I love perfume but stick to the same old Anna Sui Dreams was my first perfume purchase and I still like it but its when I want to smell like an adult (haha), Betsey Johnson is my go-to for daytime though I haven't ventured to see what her new perfume smells like and nighttime me loves forever Hypnotic Poison by Dior. Love all 3 forever will re-buy them.

I sorry for bump an old topic I just have a few interesting observations from personal experience, maybe someone will need this information in the future.Fruity notes in a modern context often strike me as being more like fruit-flavoured candy than actual fruit, though there are some interesting exceptions. Yves Saint Laurent’s Baby Doll and Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle will probably go down in history as the reference fruity-florals, and that is a titanic genre of perfume these days. I’m not overly fond of either although I do occasionally enjoy the watermelon note in Baby Doll.

I prefer more confronting fruity concoctions. Roudnitska’s Moustache by Rochas with its indolic lavender and tart citrus, the sharpness of the original Poison by Dior, or the bitter citric notes in the original, and most sublime Eau de Hadrian by the wonderful Annick Goutal all please me, and these are not candy-like at all.
I also like sweet and soft fragrances, I don't want to feel overwhelmed of it nor that others do, I'm very concerned of this, I never have a fav, I just use one and get bored before is over and then if keep using it start to feel repulsion for it, also have a preferences for small sizes because are easy to travel with and for what I mentioned before (getting bored). Right now I'm using sort kind of copy-splash version of Meow (katty Perry) I got it in a place that makes customized perfumes, I have others but not using them because got bored at the 3 use or something, that includes one of Carolina Herrera, I think it's 212, a combo of Juice Couture of which I only use the viva something, Bright Crystal of versace womentake.com/best-fruity-perfumes/ which is no. Well... you got an idea, I guess giving me a perfume is the worst gift one can do in terms of me valuing it.

To be at home or going to do unimportant things, I like coconut, vanilla or tropical lotions/splash, like the ones sold at Bath and Body, I think this kind of fragrances relax me. I used to like chocolate ones too but I think I dont anymore, not sure, don't like peach or most fruits, like tangerine or strawberry.

Did you know you can get 3 free samples of perfume at Sephora? Grab some new options and try them out! Usually their samples give me about 20 sprays!

For me personally, the last few years I've been loving Atlas Rose from the Body Shop.

I generally go for vanilla candy fluff kind of scents. Very much so a no go on floral. Any suggestions that aren't crazy priced?

I've got Cat Lab perfumes to tide me over for a few weeks so I'm in no rush to decide. They are definitely stronger scents though so not something I like to wear every day. Nice for hot summer days though when you sweat like crazy! Still smell like perfume at the end of a gross hot day!

for anyone who likes a light soapy fresh smelling perfume that lasts and goes a long way-
"grace" from Philosophy in Sephora is my favorite right now.
it was pricey for me i think it was like $120 for the biggest size bottle.
but i use it every day and a tiny half spritz goes such a long way.
2 yrs later im only 1/3 of the way thru the bottle and I've never had one last me that long.
and this perfume comes in other scent profiles if your not into the fresh soapy smell :)

Gave vanillary from Lush a try for something totally different, super soft sweet vanilla scent. But the scent doesn't last very long and it takes a bit to kinda soak in, its kind of like a thick paste you smoosh on. And it's weird grubbly bits till it kinda soaks in. Not a fan.

Shoppers got in the Pink sugar again so I picked up another bottle yesterday. Used up almost all my dregs of cat lab perfume too.

My favourite scent right now is Wool by Commodity. It's a Sephora brand so it's up there in price but I got it in a little perfume sampler and fell in love. it's main notes are bourbon vanilla and vetiver. Lowkey makes me feel like an old-timey author writing in an attic, which is my goal tbh.
They also have a fragrance called Book that I love as well, but it's a bit more on the earthy/woodsy side. Both fantastic though.

If you like sweet smells, I found this perfume at stitches called naughty and honestly, I live by it. It smells amazing and last a long time.
I found that a lot of perfumes don't last long for me and this guy stays with a couple (3) sprays.
